1S3a: (20 min.) Case Study: Detection of bearing defaults in slow rotating applications

Franklin Heinsen, SKF

Description

Bearing damages in slow speed applications are notoriously difficult to detect with vibration analysis because of the low signal intensity compared to the surrounding noise.  In this presentation we will discuss the use of signal sources and online continuous measurement to help detection at low speed.
