Tour the Cane Island Power Park facility in Kissimmee, Florida which is approximately 20 minutes from Orlando. The Cane Island Power Park is an electric generating plant made up of four units and generates about 700 MW of power. The facility features one natural gas-fueled combustion turbine and two natural gas combined cycle units jointly owned by Kissimmee Utility Authority and the Florida Municipal Power Agency, and one natural gas combined cycle unit wholly owned by FMPA. KUA operates all the units. When you attend this tour you will hear about each of the plant’s history and get an up-close look at the units as well.  You will also see the site’s substation, the water demineralization facility and the hub of the site, the control room, which monitors and controls all four units.
